Wayne Smith — Senior Designer and Design Educator based in Melbourne Australia.
Throughout my 13 year career, I have worked for some of the world’s leading Branding and Publishing agencies. I have used my design and communication skills to help a broad range of clients tell their unique brand story – from global corporations to social enterprises, air traffic controllers to Colombian soundsystem owners.
For the past 6 years I have worked in Design Education as a Lecturer, Team Leader and Course Content Writer. During these roles I have worked on the design and facilitation of learning programs for a wide range of topics — User Experience, Design Thinking, Concept Development, Brand Development, Digital Design, Typography and more.
I’m a passionate and active member in the local design community. I previously acted as Councillor for Education with AGDA Victoria and recently curated a design workshop for Melbourne Design Week 2020.
In my design practice, I strive to produce work with conceptual undertones and a strong point of view. Whether it’s creating a brand for your new Start-up venture or redeveloping the brand for your long-established business—I bring the soul and passion of an artist with all the knowledge of a big branding agency to every project I undertake.
I like to work with creative and inspiring people and I am always looking for new and interesting opportunities. If you would like to talk more, please get in touch.
