Hello— my name is Wayne Smith. I’m a Senior Designer and Design Educator based in Melbourne Australia.

Throughout my 12 year career I have worked for some of the world’s leading Branding and Publishing agencies. I have used my design and communication skills to help a broad range of clients tell their unique brand story – from global corporations to social enterprises, air traffic controllers to Colombian soundsystem owners.

For the past 4 years I have worked in Design Education as a Lecturer, Team Leader and Course Content Writer at Shillington College. During this role I worked on the design and facilitation of workshops for a wide range of topics — User Experience, Design Thinking, Concept Development, Brand Development, Digital Design, Typography and more.

In my design practice, I strive to produce work with conceptual undertones and a strong point of view. Whether it’s creating a brand for your new Start-up venture or redeveloping the brand for your long-established business—I bring the soul and passion of an artist with all the knowledge of a big branding agency to every project I undertake.

I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Reggae music and can sometimes be found playing records under the alias Patois Super Sound.

I am currently running my own freelance design practice and actively taking on new clients. If you would like to talk more, please get in touch.
